Terms of use

Last updated: [date]

These terms govern the use of the Santé et Psychiatrie website and services. By booking an appointment, you accept them.

Nature of services

Santé et Psychiatrie is a private telemedicine clinic offering mental health consultations by video, anywhere in Quebec.

Services are provided by a nurse practitioner specialized in mental health, a member of the OIIQ, within her scope of practice.

What the clinic does not provide

The clinic provides no emergency services. If you are in distress: 1 866 APPELLE (1 866 277-3553) in Quebec, 988 elsewhere in Canada, text 535353. Immediate emergency: 911.

The site provides general information and does not constitute medical advice. No practitioner-patient relationship is created merely by visiting the site.

Eligibility

You must be physically located in Quebec at the time of your consultation.

For minors, the consent of a parent or guardian is required.

Appointments, payment and cancellation

Services are not covered by RAMQ. Payment is required at the time of booking. A receipt is provided for your private insurance.

The cancellation and no-show policy is stated at the time of booking. [Specify policy.]

The practitioner reserves the right to cancel or reschedule an appointment; in that case the amount is refunded in full.

Prescriptions

Prescriptions are issued only where clinically indicated, at the practitioner's discretion, within her scope of practice.

Stimulants for ADHD may be prescribed via telemedicine, where clinically indicated.

Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate and complete information, and to be in a private, safe location during the consultation.

Recording consultations in any form is prohibited without written consent.

Limitation of liability

Telemedicine has inherent limits: physical examination is not possible, and connection quality may affect the consultation.

The clinic cannot be held responsible for technical interruptions beyond its control.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and Canada. Any dispute falls to the competent judicial district in Quebec.
